Saint Mary's Church was founded as a parish of the Episcopal Diocese of Western North Carolina in the fall of 1914. From our very beginnings we have been an Anglo-Catholic or "high church" parish. This means that our worship is rich in ceremony and that we teach and seek to follow the historic faith of Christ's one holy catholic and apostolic church.
